Bigg Boss 9 host Salman Khan developing an Indian version of UK reality show – The Farm?
Bollywood star Salman Khan is planning a new reality show on the lines of Bigg Boss - the Indian version of Celebrity Big Brother. The actor, who will be returning as the host of Bigg Boss 9, is looking at adapting another UK reality show - The Farm - for the Indian audience.
This new show's format will be quite similar to Bigg Boss. It will put a bunch of celebrities on a farm and involve them in regular chores. Commenting on the upcoming show, at a recently held press conference, Khan said (via Bollywood Hungama), "The Farm has the same concept as that of Bigg Boss. Celebrities will be spending close to four months on the farm. Here they will have to do everything by themselves right from milking the cow and goat to farming and sowing".
Further talking about the show Khan added, "There will be a farmer present who will teach all the techniques of farming to the contestants." Based on audience votes, the contestants will get evicted one by one and eventually, the sole remaining contestant will be awarded the Top Farmer title. Khan is reportedly in talks with Colors channel (the same that airs Bigg Boss in India) for his take on The Farm. It is not yet clear whether he will be involved as a host on that show as well. It's also important to note that no official announcement regarding this show has been made as yet.
Meanwhile, fans are looking forward to the Bajrangi Bhaijaan's upcoming stint as host on Bigg Boss 9. However, when asked about rumours of him quitting the show season after season, he said, "It is not a rumour. I am the one who says it, but these people (makers) manage to convince me. Trust me, this is going to be my last season. This time, I am serious; I will at least give it a break. I would want to do something bigger and better," the actor told Mid-Day.
