Billionaire Warren Buffett to Sing for Chinese New Year Celebration
American billionaire and philanthropist Warren Buffett will sing during an online broadcast to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The Year of the (Water) Dragon will begin Jan. 23.
The 81-year-old businessman has recorded a video in which he plays the guitar and sings, reported the Xinhua news agency. But it is not known which song Buffett will be singing.
Well-known stars, including Robert Wells and Jackie Chan, will also perform during the Spring Festival Web Gala produced by China Network Television (CNTV).
The show will be aired on CNTV.cn and other TV channels of CNTV network on Jan. 23 .
"I've heard about Buffett and I know he is a magic stock buyer, a veteran and extremely wealthy," Chinadaily.com quoted Wan Ying, a 25-year-old student from Nanjing University in East China's Jiangsu province, as saying.
"I am curious about what he will bring to the online show -- an English song or a Chinese song? I'm not sure whether he sings well."
