Birmingham man to be charge with the murder of baby girl
A man has been charged with murdering a five-month-old girl in the inner city area of Perry Barr in north Birmingham. Tomas
Tomas Driukas, believed to be of Lithuanian origin, is due to appear before Birmingham magistrates today.
West Midlands Police were called to an address on Crantock Road in Perry Barr shortly before 1am on Wednesday, following reports that the child was experiencing breathing difficulties.
Druikas, a 25-year-old electrician, was arrested on Thursday following the baby's death. An unnamed 22-year-old woman who was arrested at the same time has now been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

A post-mortem examination revealed several injuries to the baby girl.
West Midlands Police have issued a statement to say that further tests are being conducted to establish a cause of death.
