Detectives have charged a 33-year-old woman with murder after the body of a newborn baby was found at a house in Bristol.

Claudia Martins, of Marshall Walk, in the Knowle, area of Bristol, has been charged with one count of murder and is due to appear before Bristol Magistrates' Court today (Saturday).

Martins was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder, after police were called to a house in Knowle on Monday after the body of a newborn baby girl was found.
