Cardiff double murder suspect Andrew Saunders appears in court
Man accused of early morning stabbing in city centre to appear in court on 3 October.
The suspect accused of stabbing a Cardiff couple near the Matalan shop where they worked has appeared in court.
Andrew Saunders, 20, has been charged with the murder of Zoe Morgan, 21, and Lee Simmons, 33, who were found dead in Queen Street in the Welsh capital at around 5.50am on 28 September.
Saunders, from Castleton in Gwent, appeared at Cardiff Magistrate's Court to confirm his name, age and address. He has been remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance on 3 October.
Morgan's family paid tribute to "a beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter and auntie who had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody" following her death.
They said: "She was taken away from us tragically, too soon, and has left a massive hole in our lives that will never be filled. Zoe will always be in our hearts forever and always. We are all broken-hearted."
Morgan was a former pupil at Cardiff's Whitchurch High and had recently graduated from the University of South Wales in June with an honours degree in fashion marketing and retail design.
It is understood her and Simmons had been dating for around four months before they were killed.
