AACTA Awards 2015: Cate Blanchett goes knickerless for the Australian Oscars
Having previously gone commando on film sets and for red carpet appearances, Oscar-winning Cate Blanchett is fully embracing her inner exhibitionist.
The 45-year-old Hollywood actress decided to ditch her knickers when she stepped out at the 2015 AACTA Awards at Sydney's The Star, dubbed Australia's Oscars.
While the plunging pink satin Alexander McQueen floor-length gown hugged her curves perfectly, she admitted the Kaften-inspired outfit left little room for underwear.
"I'm not wearing any knickers tonight," she confessed while posing for photographs, confirming that there would be no chance of a visible panty line (VPL).
The Blue Jasmine star completed her glamorous look with silver hoop earrings, natural make-up and her blonde hair worn in loose waves.
Blanchett, who was on hosting duties for the fourth annual ceremony along with The Sapphires actress and fellow Aussie Deborah Mailman, may have taken a bold leaf of Kendall Jenner's book.
Last summer, the reality star left little to the imagination when she arrived at the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto in a floor-length dress that was slashed to her waist. The daring gown, designed by Fausto Puglisi, featured elaborate embellishment all over and showed off her pelvic bones.
When Blanchett wasn't busy getting candid on the red carpet, The Lord Of The Rings star caught up with Rose Byrne, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Mia Wasikowska.
