Cathriona White: Jim Carrey's girlfriend found dead 'days after break up'

Cathriona White, the girlfriend of Jim Carrey, has been found dead at her home in California following an apparent suicide. The 28-year-old, who had been dating the actor on and off since the pair met in 2012, was found at her home in Sherman Oaks, California, by two of her friends.

According to reports, a suicide note had also been left at the scene. The pair are believed to have recently ended their relationship after being reunited in May following a previous breakup in 2012. Irish make-up artist White recently tweeted: "Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest."

Law enforcement authorities are awaiting a post-mortem to confirm the cause of death of White.
