Celebrity Big Brother 2016 round-up: Tiffany thought David Gest had died, not David Bowie
It's pretty safe to say, it's been an eventful week in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Reality stars Scotty T (Geordie Shore) and Megan McKenna (The Ex On The Beach) have sparked up a slight romance and there have been plenty of arguments as well as a walkout and an eviction. So much has happened that its hard to remember everything. Well, fear not, as IBTimesUK have rounded-up all the best bits from the past week to get you up to speed...
Winston got the boot
UKIP spokesperson Winston McKenzie was the first celebrity to be evicted from the house on Friday (8 January). He was nominated for eviction alongside Nancy Dell'Olio and Strictly Come Dancing star Kristina Rihanoff, after fellow housemates Jeremy McConnell, Scotty T and Stephanie Davis were asked to make one 'killer' nomination each.
While the public saved Kristina, it was up to the housemates to decide whether Winston or Nancy would remain in the house. Each of the housemates were called upon to make their nominations and explain their reasons for doing so. Winston was nominated by all but one of the 14 housemates, and no one held back in telling the politician what they thought of his 'homophobic comments'.
Stephanie and Jeremy grew closer... (despite saying they need to cool their relationship)
Jeremy McConnell's touchy-feely relationship has become quite the talking point in the house, with many housemates discussing what their growing friendship might mean to Stephanie Davis' relationship with model Sam Reece on the outside. Things reached boiling point when Jeremy admitted that he saw them as "more than friends" and Stephanie initiated a talk that resulting in the pair saying they were going to quit it with the flirting. However, things have only hotted up since.
Angie got some terrible news
Following the death of legendary musician and actor David Bowie, Big Brother called Angie Bowie into the Diary Room to inform her that her ex-husband had passed away. During the episode, the former model broke down in tears and admitted: ""I haven't seen him for so many years. So I can't make a big drama out of it. I just feel like an era has ended with his passing. I'm so very sad.
"The Stardust has gone," she told both Big Brother's camera and fellow contestants John Partridge and David Gest who at that point had joined her in the Diary Room. "If you guys would be so kind as to just give me your moral support."
Jonathan Cheban walked out
The eventful week continued as Kim Kardashian's best friend on the outside and contestant Jonathan Cheban exited the competition prematurely, on the grounds that he was suffering from severe anxiety and believed that he was "going to have a heart attack". He officially left the house on 12 January 2016 but has since told numerous publications that he wants to be let back in and that he wants The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins to win.
Tiffany thought David Gest has died... and told the whole house
After hearing the sad news about Bowie, Angie wasn't sure who to tell at first, ultimately deciding to share the information with I Love New York star Tiffany Pollard first. However, after simply telling her fellow housemate that "David's dead", Tiffany jumped to conclusions and thought that Angie meant their friend in the house David Gest.
Beside herself, Tiffany went outside and proceeded to tell the whole house that Angie told her that Gest was dead. After discovering Gest in his bed however, Tiffany started arguing with Angie before John Partridge tried to calm the house by telling her that she'd obviously misheard.
Megan lost her temper
After the housemates were allowed to have a few drinks, Megan proceeded to have a meltdown in Thursday night's episode, with her explosive rant leaving her housemates concerned for her state of mind and their own safety, the security being called and the public outraged amidst accusations of racism.
An altercation with former Eastenders actor John Partridge and US reality star Tiffany Pollard seemed to send her over the edge, as the 23-year-old embarked on a hysterical rampage through the house. In a foul-mouthed attack against her fellow housemates she called Partridge a "lying s***" and a "two-faced little c***". But it was when Big Brother informed the house that they had lost the latest task that she really lost it, as she began shouting "you're joking?"
She then went on to complain about how no one does anything around the house. Most of the housemates simply watched her outburst, but when Tiffany started laughing she launched her attack on her, calling her a "ghetto c***" which sparked the racism rumours. Gest meanwhile joked that after seeing Megan's behaviour, he'd be keen to get her a role in horror movie, Nightmare on Elm Street.
