Cheryl Fernandez-Versini divorce: Jean-Bernard's 'laziness' reason for split?

Rumours of a rift between Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Jean-Bernard seem to be getting stronger as the X Factor judge has cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. Cheryl was also apparently upset with the 35-year-old's "laziness".

"As far as I know, he hasn't lifted a finger or done any work of any kind since he met his wife. His family home is in the countryside, in Aixen-Provence. His family are not super-rich but they have some money. I wouldn't say they're multi-millionaires like Cheryl," a source told Daily Star.

"When I knew him, J-B never wanted to have to work hard all day every day like his parents, who ran a restaurant, did. His priorities are having fun and partying," another insider added.

The former Girls Aloud member married French businessman in a secret wedding in the Caribbean on 7 July 2014. The couple tied the knot following a whirlwind three-month relationship.

She shared the happy news with a photo of her wedding ring on Instagram. She captioned the image: "I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news... Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14.. ❤️ We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together.."

Cheryl and the entrepreneur have been tight-lipped about the couple's marriage trouble. Moreover, Jean-Bernard had stopped attending X Factor auditions and the couple were rarely seen together.

"She pretended everything was OK on the live shows but was hurting inside. The minute the show was over she told her lawyers to get to work," a source told The Sun.

Meanwhile, on New Year's Day, Cheryl posted a cryptic message on the photo sharing website. She wrote: "Bye 2015... you've been real!!!!! You have taught me a lot but I am happy to see the back of you!!"
