Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris: Scottish DJ to go 'down on one knee this year'?
Scottish singer/DJ Calvin Harris wants to settle down soon with American singer/songwriter Taylor Swift. The couple apparently want to take their bond to the next level.
"Calvin has discussed the possibility of marrying Taylor with his parents. It is still early days but none of his team would be surprised if he went down on one knee this year," an alleged source told Daily Star.
"They are both very solid at the moment and happy. They have had a fantastic few weeks together over the Christmas period. It was the first time they have had a large amount of time together, mixing time alone with family activities, and it went brilliantly," the insider added.
"Calvin has never been more content and is really smitten with Taylor. She's also head over heels and has never been in a relationship like this. The most important thing for Taylor is that Calvin's won over parents Scott and Andrea, as well as her friends. One of Calvin's team has been talking about where to purchase bespoke rings, which has prompted people to feel that an engagement is close," the source continued.
Swift has been in a relationship with Rita Ora's former boyfriend since April 2015. The Red singer kissed Harris during the Billboard Music Awards 2015, held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on 17 May, confirming their relationship.
Previously, during an interview with Kiss FM UK, Harris gushed about the Shake It Off singer. "It's going absolutely fantastic. It's interesting because obviously there's different things written about it every day and even if we don't do anything publicly for a while, someone will make something up. For me it could be a lot worse and I'd still be like insanely happy with her so I'm good with it," he said.
Meanwhile, during an interview with NME magazine, Harry Styles' former girlfriend revealed she will take a break from music after the 1989 tour, which wrapped up in December. Swift said: "I think I should take some time off. I think people might need a break from me. I'm going to... I don't know. Hang out with my friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don't know."
