Overview
A late goal from Queens Park Rangers defender Mauricio Isla in the 81<sup>st minute helped Chile seal a narrow 1-0 victory over Uruguay in the last eight of the tournament. Jorge Sampaoli's side are one win away from making it to the final of the Copa America held on their home soil.
Chile will be without the services of Gonzalo Jara for the semi-final clash as he is serving a three-match ban for sticking his finger up Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani's backside, which ended in the latter being sent off. Jorge Fucile became the second player for Uruguay to be sent off in the quarter final clash.
Meanwhile, Peru had an easy run in order to seal a berth in the semi-final of the tournament. They sealed a comfortable 3-1 victory over Bolivia as Paolo Guerrero's hat-trick helped his side progress further in this edition of the Copa America.
The forward and Peru will be hoping he can continue his form against Chile, who have kept three clean sheets so far in the ongoing tournament and have conceded only three goals.
