State oil company Sinopec has been named the top performing company in China this year, according to the 2014 list of the country's top 500 companies from Fortune China.

The top five were:

1) Sinopec

2) Petrochina

3) China State Construction

4) China Mobile

5) Industrial & Commercial Bank of China
