Danny Rose to miss West Ham vs Tottenham but will return to training before Manchester United clash
Erik Lamela, Harry Winks and Cameron Carter-Vickers remain on the sidelines.
Danny Rose is likely to return to full training next week but Mauricio Pochettino is still uncertain whether the Tottenham Hotspur left-back will be ready to return to action for the hotly-anticipated visit of Manchester United on 14 May. Meanwhile, Erik Lamela, Harry Winks and Cameron Carter-Vickers are also ruled out for the coming derby with West Ham on Friday (4 May) as the trio are expected to miss the remaining of the Premier League run-in battle with Chelsea.
Rose, 26, enjoyed an impressive first part of the campaign but has been out of action since suffering a knee injury during the goalless draw at Sunderland on 31 January.
The left-back has missed the last 11 Premier League games but there is still hope that the England international could help Spurs in the last games of the season as Pochettino's side continue their pursuit of Chelsea following nine consecutive victories, being four points behind the Blues with four games remaining.
The Tottenham boss has confirmed that Rose will continue on the sidelines for the Friday's trip to West Ham but refused to rule him out completely for the following crucial encounter with Manchester United.
"We will see, after three months and one week that he is not playing, we need to see, we need to assess. It's not easy for every player to arrive to play, need to assess every day," Pochettino said as quoted by Football.London when asked whether the left-back will be available to face Jose Mourinho's side.
"We hope that in the next session he can stay with the group training and then decide if he is in condition to play. The most important thing now is that he feels good, recovers his fitness and his knee and then important he can be involved again with the team."
However, the club provided a less positive update on Lamela, Winks and Carter-Vickers as the trio are expected to miss the four games remaining against West Ham, Manchester United, Leicester and Hull City.
"Both players are continuing rehabilitation and will miss the rest of the season," Tottenham confirmed regarding Lamela and Winks in the injury update ahead of the derby with West Ham.
Meanwhile, regarding the 19-year-old centre-back, they added: "Cameron is continuing his rehabilitation although it remains unlikely he will be available for the remainder of this season."
