Bollywood Star Deepika Padukone In Fast & Furious 7

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is the latest from India to join the Hollywood Brigade. It is reported that she has bagged a part in the seventh instalment of the super hit franchise Fast & Furious.

It also stars Hollywood bigwigs Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. She will apparently play a significant part in the thriller which will release next year. According to reports, neither she nor her spokespersons are allowed to reveal anything to the media about the project.

Padukone had auditioned for the role along with other Bollywood stars Kangana Ranaut and Chitrangda Singh. However, Padukone made the final cut.
She is currently in Dubai shooting for a movie, Happy New Year, with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

The 27-year-old Padukone took to modelling form an early age and has appeared in several modelling campaigns and has also walked the ramp for many years before she made it big in Bollywood. She also enjoyed a hugely successful stint as a Kingfisher model. Padukone was crowned the model of the year by Kingfisher at their Fifth Annual Kingfisher Fashion Awards in 2006.

"Since Aishwarya Rai, we haven't had a girl as beautiful and fresh," Wendell Rodricks, one of India's top fashion designers stated about Padukone.

Her first film (Om Shanti Om, in 2007) in Bollywood was with superstar Shah Rukh Khan and since then, there has been no looking back for this dimpled beauty. She also won the Filmfare award for the Best Debutant that year. The tall and statuesque Padukone, is considered one of the top actresses in India today.
