Actress Demi Moore's much-awaited memoir "Inside Out" has been finally released Monday, making several startling revelations. The actress who recently spoke about her being raped at the age of 15, has disclosed in the memoir that her rapist had bought her from her mother.

In her autobiography, Demi Moore writes about the ordeal of the sexual assault that took place in the family home. The actress says she came to know about her mother Virginia King's involvement in the matter after her rapist asked: "how does it feel to be whored by your mother for $500."

"It was rape. And a devastating betrayal, revealed by the man's cruel question: how does it feel to be whored by your mother for $500?," she writes. However, the actress in an interview said she doesn't think her rape was "a straightforward transaction" for which her mother had consciously taken money.

"In my deep heart, no, I don't think it was... But [my mother] did give him the access and put me in harm's way," the 56-year-old told US television host Diane Sawyer on "Good Morning America".

Virginia died in 1998. The actress had cut her mother from her life completely but they managed to reconcile before the latter's death, reports In Style.

According to the book "Inside Out", Moore's mother was an alcoholic who used to take her teenage daughter to bars in the hope of attracting male attention for them both. Moore also says she saved her mother from a suicide attempt when she was 12.

"I remember using my fingers, the small fingers of a child, to dig the pills my mother had tried to swallow, out of her mouth."

The "Striptease" actress in the memoir also admitted to having two threesomes with her then-husband Ashton Kutcher, which she said she did to "please" the actor. Moore says the actor later used it as an excuse of cheating on her.
