Did Justin Theroux throw shade at Jennifer Aniston's ex-husband with 'F**k Brad Pitt' graffiti?
Theroux and Aniston have kept their silence over Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's split.
Justin Theroux stirred up a controversy on social media after he shared a graffiti with expletive words, including "F**k Brad Pitt". The Leftovers actor's fans and followers were of the opinion that the Instagram post was a well-hidden swipe at his wife's (Jennifer Aniston) former husband Pitt, who recently split from Angelina Jolie.
The graffiti, designed by street artist Nick Flatt, shows a woman biting her middle finger while being surrounded by expletive words such as "F**k politics", "F**k war", "F**k imperialism", "F**k steroids", " F**k cocaine", " F**k racism" and "F**k Brad Pitt". among others.
The initial caption of the image did not allude to the Allied actor but Theroux's feelings surrounding the US presidential race. "#currentelectionmood," the Girl on the Train star captioned the image, "#berlin #graffiti #f--kingnickflatt."
However, when fans and followers pointed out that the image was a dig at Pitt, Theroux responded by saying that he wasn't looking for any drama with the said image of the graffiti.
Theroux changed caption and wrote "And NO this post is NOT 'shading' anyonebecauseimnotelevemyearsoldimeanseriously."
Theroux and Jennifer Aniston have largely maintained silence over Pitt and Jolie's split. The Fight Club actor left Aniston for Jolie after meeting the latter on the set of the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005.
On 26 September, Theroux spoke about how divorce can have an impact on a child when asked about the Pitt and Jolir's split.
"As a child of divorce, all I can say is that's terrible news for those children, and that's all you can really say," he said at the time. "It's boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time. That's horrible," Theroux told Business Insider.
Pitt and Jolie share six children — Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
