Election 2015: Ed Miliband fall guy after mishap during BBC Question Time

It's said all publicity is good publicity, so Ed Miliband might be glad that his stumble on BBC Question Time is still being discussed.
The Labour leader had been answering questions from audience on a range of issues including a post-election pact with the Scottish National Party, immigration and the Blair/Brown Labour governments' record in power.
But on a night when Miliband ruled out a coalition with the Nicola Sturgeon and her SNP and refused to apologise for New Labour spending, it was his brief trip as he left the stage that also gained attention.
Vine users quickly circulated the clip on social media and the Twitterati has been quick to comment on the fall:
Watched the 'highlights' of last night's QT on BBC Breakfast and the only thing that's stuck in my mind is Ed Miliband's trip on stage.

@Ed_Miliband The only MP that can trip himself up live on TV. Comic Genius. https://t.co/XbF0hDGiqC

@Ed_Miliband - great performance last night on the tv debate. Don't worry about the trip , next week it will be David Cameron who falls.

We all trip & stumble occasionally but @Ed_Miliband’s lack of coordination is a perfect metaphor for @Labour’s offer to voters #GE2015

I thought throwing in a comedy trip at the end was genius by Ed Miliband. I bet Russell Brand put him up to it. #BeatThatDave
