Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi reportedly fighting over Oscar host's plastic surgery wish
American talk show host/comedian Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi are allegedly fighting over plastic surgery.
According to InTouch Weekly, the 57-year-old Oscar host wants to go under the knife, and the 42-year-old Ally McBeal star does not approve of it.
"Ellen hates the wrinkles around her eyes and her turkey neck," an source reportedly said.
"She wanted to get work down while The Ellen DeGeneres Show is on summer break, [but] Portia talked her out of it," the insider added.
"She didn't want Ellen ridiculed, like she's been about her changing face," the source continued. "Ellen's grumbling that now she has to wait another year to get anything done."
DeGeneres married the Australian-American actress in 2008. However, there have been several reports since 2013 that the couple's marriage was on the rocks.
In 2013, the Arrested Development actress talked about her happiness after coming out as a lesbian and marrying DeGeneres in the April issue of Out magazine.
"I really, honestly think that anybody who is openly gay and visible is powerful. It doesn't matter what you do, you are impacting people," she said at that time.
"We've settled into happily married life. We really support each other in whatever we're doing and we're incredibly happy, which is why you don't see us in the press so much. There's no drama to report. There comes some pressure in your mid-30s, and you think, Am I going to have kids so I don't miss out on something that other people really seem to love? Or is it that I really genuinely want to do this with my whole heart? I didn't feel that my response was "yes" to the latter.
"You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did. So it's just going to be me and Ellen and no babies — but we're the best of friends and married life is blissful, it really is. I've never been happier than I am right now," the Better Off Ted star added.
