Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi split rumours resurface – Scandal actress spotted sans wedding ring

Ellen DeGeneres never misses a moment to appreciate the love of her life Portia de Rossi. Even during the special episode of her daytime talk show – that celebrated the 20th anniversary of her coming out as lesbian – Ellen celebrated the milestone by kissing her beloved wife.

Rumours of their separation, however, have again surfaced on the internet. The Australian actress de Rossi was recently spotted having lunch with her friends at a restaurant where paparazzi noticed that she was not wearing her wedding ring. Not only has the picture fuelled their split rumours, a tabloid magazine went so far as to claim that the couple has frequent fights.

"[Ellen] never wants people at work to know about her personal problems. It was a huge wake-up call for her," the source apparently told Radar Online. The controversial website went further to claim that the 44-year-old former Scandal actress is just "sitting at home...waiting for Ellen to spend time with her".

The tabloid also claims that the celebrity couple is secretly splitting their wealth as they have listed their Beverly Hills condo and Santa Barbara mansion for sale. Ellen and Portia are currently residing in their posh Los Angeles mansion with their three dogs and three cats.

The reports, however, hardly hold any truth as de Rossi left the highly popular ABC political drama to pursue her dream, which she is yet to reveal to her fans. The 59-year-old talk show host, on the other hand, extended her loving support to her wife of nine years after Portia's character died in the show and said: "I'm proud of my wife for her epic performance on #Scandal. I will miss Lizzie Bear, but I'm glad Portia Bear is sitting right next to me".

Soon after exiting Scandal, Portia teased about her future endeavour by sharing an image of a lounge area with the name 'General Public'. Due to its high viewership ratings, the Ellen DeGeneres Show is a launch pad for new ventures of many celebs and hence deRossi may soon appear on her wife's hit show to declare her latest venture.
