Emma Watson's New Look as Burlesque Dancer, Denies Rumours of Topless Pictures

Emma Watson is no longer the nerdy Hermione Grainger of the Harry Potter series of films anymore and proved that with a stylish and chic new look in Bling Ring. The British actress is now all set to expand her repertoire with a new role in Perks of Being a Wallflower.

The first trailer has been released for the new film and it shows Watson as a sultry burlesque dancer, performing, in lingerie, to Rocky Horror Picture Show.

"Emma plays Sam, a free spirit who becomes the love interest of awkward teen Charlie. Her character is seen dancing enthusiastically at the homecoming dance, standing up in an open-topped car with the wind in her hair, and taking to what looks like a school stage in a raunchy burlesque get-up during the preview," the Daily Mail reported.

"I was very nervous to that stuff. It was tough. I think Harry Potter fans will love it because it has so much heart, like the Harry Potter stories do. I feel like it's the perfect transition from Harry Potter to kind of a more adolescent movie. It's a little bit of an older tone. It's darker," Watson told a cable television channel at the MTV Movie Awards 2012.

Incidentally, Watson had to speak in an American accent for the film, something the 22 year old is nervous about.

"I really wanted to get that right. But Logan [Lerman] and Ezra [Miller] were very instructive. If I ever said anything that sounded weird, they were like, 'That's not right!' and we would fix it," Watson said, in a report by Ace Show Biz. There is also an intimate kissing scene between Watson and Lerman.

"It happened in front of a crew, and people were there, and we did it a few times. And that was it. It's kind of odd when you're doing it for a movie. It's kind of weird. She's cool. It wasn't as awkward as it could have been. It's Emma Watson, so I'm a lucky guy," Lerman told MTV News at the Movie Awards.

The news and buzz around Watson's new look is not all positive though. There are reports of a racy photograph of her circulating the Internet. According to MSN, her college classmates emailed a photograph of someone claimed to be the actress standing in a towel next to a hot tub. The actress has denied the picture is that of her.

"There have been a number of nude fakes over the past two months. Emma has seen them and finds them tiresome. People should know better," Watson's spokespersons clarified.
