Emma Watson reveals teaser poster for Beauty And The Beast movie
The Bill Condon-directed Disney reboot is set for release on 17 March 2017.
Emma Watson shared the first official poster for the live-action Disney remake of Beauty And The Beast on Facebook. The Harry Potter star plays Belle in the movie, alongside Dan Stevens, who will bring the Beast to life.
Watson posted an image featuring the magical red rose on the social media site and wrote, "Very excited to reveal the first teaser poster for Beauty and the Beast, exclusively for my Facebook fans! Hope you like! Love, Emma x #BeOurGuest" The image showcases the iconic enchanted blood-red rose, encased in glass, surrounded by snowflakes, which will play a crucial role in the plot.
The first teaser video was released back in May, which introduced us to Watson's character Belle and fan favourites candlestick Lumiere and clock Cogsworth. The live action reboot is an adaptation of the 1991's classic fairy-tale, featuring the journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast's hideous exterior and realise the kind heart and soul of the true prince within.
Alongside Watson and Stevens the movie also stars Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome but shallow villager who woos Belle and Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle's eccentric but lovable father. Actor Ewan McGregor plays Lumiere, the candelabra, with Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord.
Oscar nominee Ian McKellen will play Cogsworth, the mantle clock with Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs Potts. The Bill Condon-directed reboot is set for release on 17 March 2017.
