Emma Watson to Star in Sophia Coppola's Ring Bling
Emma Watson of Harry Potter fame is gearing up to star in Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring, based on the true story of a group of teenagers.
The Lost in Translation director's new movie is based on a real story that happened in 2009 when a group of teenagers targeted celebrities and dared to steal from their homes. They would do a detailed study of the celebrities through interviews and TV magazines and then decide which item of the star had to be stolen. Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom and Lindsay Lohan were reportedly the targets then.
"I'm excited about the young cast we're assembling and I'm looking forward to shooting on location in Los Angeles," Coppola was quoted as saying by The Sun.
Emma Watson is a very busy star now, even after the Potter series ended. The other projects that Emma is currently handling are Your Voice in My Head by David Yates and there is also the possibility of starring in The Beauty and the Beast.
NDTV reported that despite the actress claiming to stop acting and focus on studies, she has been working on a number of roles including in My Week with Marilyn and an adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
