Emmerdale slammed by viewers for copying EastEnders: 'This is the exact same storyline!'
Viewers took to Twitter to reveal the similarity.

On last night's (November 30) episode of Emmerdale, Tom Waterhouse's (Ned Porteous) secret agenda was finally exposed. However, viewers were left surprised for a completely different reason.
Tom, the millionaire businessman, was revealed as the person behind the golf course project that will leave the Dingle family homeless.
Tom made the big announcement about his plans for the golf course to a room full of powerful councillors and businesspeople, confirming what the viewers of the soap had been suspecting all along.
Interestingly, Max Branning's (Jake Wood) revenge in Eastenders seemed very similar to that of Tom's storyline and viewers on Twitter were quick to draw parallels with the BBC soap.
In a previous episode of Eastenders, it was revealed that Max was in cahoots with millionaire James Willmott-Brown (William Boyde) to buy properties in Walford and then bring them down.
Here's how Twitter responded to this seeming plot theft:
This is the exact same storyline as #eastenders ðð#Emmerdale

So, @emmerdale is basically ripping off @bbceastenders Weyland plot.
Maybe Iâve been out off the loop for a while not watching the soaps but Emmerdale is coping Eastenders
