Finn has struggled for fitness in 2016 having suffered a side strain during the third Test victory over South Africa in January. The 26-year-old missed the rest of the tour as a result, including the limited-overs series.
Finn confirmed via his Twitter account his latest injury was suffered in his bid to recover from the side problem that ended his tour. "Really disappointed to have picked up another injury on my road to recovery. Gutted doesn't describe it. Good luck to the guys out there."

England will take on Sri Lanka, South Africa and West Indies in the group stage of the World T20, beginning against the latter on 16 March.
