A man was initially arrested on suspicion of murder, but was released on bail until 5 September.
Aimee Spencer, who had appeared on the TV series Geordie Shore, has died from injuries she sustained after a fall from the balcony of a first-floor apartment near Brighton beach. The 27-year-old porn model was on life support following the tragic incident on 11 July, passed away on Monday (18 July).
According to The Sun, the 27-year-old, also known by her stage-name Carla Mai, was allegedly pushed from the balcony of the building where a drug-fuelled party was underway. BBC reported a Sussex Police spokesman as saying: "The 27-year-old woman who fell from a window of a Brighton flat has sadly died from her injuries at the Royal Sussex County Hospital on Monday July 18.
"The woman had been in a critical condition since she was discovered having fallen from the first-floor flat window in Chichester Terrace on Monday July 11 at 9.08am."
Following the incident, a 28-year-old man from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of murder, while a local woman, also 28, was detained on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. Both have been released on bail until 5 September.
The porn star's friends and family were devastated by her tragic death and paid heartfelt tributes on Twitter.
"If Facebook and Twitter comments are anything to go by, her legacy she leaves behind are memories for friends and family alike that were lucky enough to share in her fun and enthusiasm for life and the loyalty shown to those she cared about," a statement from her family read, according to The Daily Mail. "The family thank you for your sympathy and condolences as it gives a little comfort at this hard time."
"I can't believe she's left us. She put up a fantastic fight and I'll love her forever," Spencer's sister Daria, 23, said.
"We will never forget you and our good times together, you will be sorely missed," the late model's best friend Levi Clarke shared. "We pray the angels have taken you to your resting place in heaven with your awesome house playlist and your cheeky smile. This is so sad."
