Galaxy A9 Pro with octa-core processor and 4GB RAM spotted at GFXBench
Samsung could be planning to expand its Galaxy A lineup by adding a new model to the list soon. A new handset named Galaxy A9 Pro bearing model number SM-A9100 has been recently spotted at the GFXBench website. This is the same model which was recently imported to India for testing purposes, suggests the Zauba listing.
While a few hardware features already surfaced through leaks, the GFXBench listing, first noticed by Sammobile, reveals complete hardware specification. First up, the upcoming A series phone will run on latest Android Marshmallow version 6.0.1. It packs a 5.5in full HD screen with support for fingerprint gesture.
A snapdragon octa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz would drive power for the phone, coupled with 4GB RAM. It features Adreno 510 graphics unit and have 32GB storage, which can be expandable via microSD card. Other key features are 16 megapixel rear camera and an eight megapixel front-facing camera with support for full HD video. Like the Galaxy A9 model, the A9 Pro could use a 4000mAh battery.
While Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its high-end Galaxy S series model — Galaxy S7 — at the MWC 2016 event to be held in Barcelona from 22-25 February, the Galaxy A9 Pro is likely to debut sometime after the event. Other flagships such as LG G5 is also expected at the same event.
