Galaxy S5, Gear 2 and Gear Fit Up for Global Preview and Pre-Orders Starting 21 March
Samsung has just announced that its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, along with a bunch of new wearable devices including Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit will be available for preview across 1,400 retail locations worldwide, starting 21 March.
According to a press release, the Galaxy S5 and the wearable devices are expected to go up for pre-orders starting with the US and Switzerland from 21 March, while the smartphone goes up for sale at $199.99 on a contract deal from AT&T and US Cellular.
T-Mobile is also expected to start receiving pre-orders for the devices from 24 March, with Verizon and Sprint likely to follow.
Furthermore, the preview and pre-order facility for the Galaxy S5 and Gear wearables will later be extended to 59 other countries around the globe including the UK, Germany, Brazil and China.
Prospective buyers of the smartphone and Gear wearables can enjoy the privilege of free product previews at various Samsung Experience Stores, mobile carrier stores and key retailer stores spread across 61 countries globally.
"The new Galaxy S5 and Gear devices are designed for what matters most to our consumers. We listened closely to our consumers when designing these products, and we want to give as many customers as possible the enough chance to experience of Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit before they purchase," explains Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, IT& Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics, in the press release.
The Galaxy S5 is touted to combine a set of power-packed features including advanced camera, the fastest network connectivity, dedicated fitness tools and enhanced device protection features to deliver the best mobile experience to the user.
Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are reportedly focused on delivering enhanced connectivity with a completely integrated approach for the most personal wearable experience.
Furthermore, the Gear Fit is touted to feature the industry's first curved Super AMOLED display paired with comprehensive fitness tools to enable consumers stay physically active without compromising on style or convenience while using Samsung Gear technology.
The Galaxy S5 and the Gear devices are scheduled for release across the global market on 11 April.
