A major character confirmed to die in season 5?
Reportedly, one male character will be killed in the upcoming episodes and the unnamed actor was apparently quite shocked and angry when he learnt about his character's fate.
According to actor Jonathan Pryce - who will join Game Of Thrones this upcoming season as the High Sparrow - the actor playing that character was one of the last to know and was quite surprised. Pryce told the Sydney Morning Herald how he learnt about this development before this soon-to-be-off-GoT actor:
"I read the script and some of the others had to, but I know one actor who hadn't read the script and he didn't know what was going to happen to him. He died and he wasn't happy."
Fans can speculate as to who this unfortunate mystery character could be. As per an Inquisitr report, one of the possible names is - Jaime Lannister. Here's why:
Jaime will likely face suspicion or outright accusations for the escape of Tyrion, so he will likely be in jeopardy when Game of Thrones returns. Even Cersei may turn against him given the murder of their father, as she will almost certainly suspect him in Tyrion's escape. One could also argue Jaime has served his purpose on Game of Thrones, siring the line of kings with Cersei and letting the show's favourite character escape a death sentence.
Game of Thrones season 5 premieres on 12 April, 2015.
