Game of Thrones season 5 special featurette release date revealed, first trailer update
Looks like the build up to Game of Thrones season 5 premiere in April 2015 has already begun.
While fans can expect the upcoming season's first trailer to release by mid-January, it seems HBO has already scheduled a season 5 special titled Game of Thrones: A Day In the Life, set to air in February, reports The Huffington Post.
According to Game of Thrones fan site Watchers on The Wall, the behind-the-scenes featurette is slated to air on Sunday, 8 February at 7.30pm ET on HBO, and is currently on the schedule with a run-time of 28 minutes.
HBO has yet to officially announce this special, but if it is anything like the behind-the-scenes special that aired last year around the same time, fans can expect an exciting insight into the storyline and characters for season 5.
"Last year the network aired the 15-minute program "Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing" around the same time in February, which introduced new characters and storylines from Season 4," states the HuffPost report.
From what we already know, GoT season 5 will feature several new characters from Dorne including Oberyn Martell's daughters - The Sand Snakes. Arya and Sansa's characters will head into new directions and Tyrion will be on the run, after he murdered his father - Tywin Lannister in the last season.
Game of Thrones season 5 is expected to release on 5 April, 2015.
