George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin: Couple are 'trying for a family'
American actor and filmmaker George Clooney is apparently eager to raise a baby with wife Amal Alamuddin. The 54-year-old Gravity star and 36-year-old British-Lebanese lawyer, who tied the knot in September 2014, in Venice, Italy, want to start a family soon.
"George never expected to find the happiness he has with Amal so is now open to the possibility of becoming a family man," a source told Closer magazine. "He and Amal have both said they love the idea of adopting a child in need in the future and have spoken to Brad and Angelina about this. George sees the bond Brad shares with his children and he wants that too."
"George and Amal are trying for a family," the source added. "They've already started preparing and told pals how they've built matching baby wings in both homes, complete with a nursery, a baby spa, a playroom, children's library and quarters for their nanny."
Meanwhile, during an interview with ET's Nancy O'Dell, Clooney could not stop gushing about his barrister partner. He said: "She's an amazing human being. And she's caring. And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I've ever met. And she's got a great sense of humour. There's a number of reasons why."
The Oscar winner also talked about Alamuddin's sense of style. Clooney said: "It's amazing, because she's always – since the day I met her – she's always had this insanely...it's eccentric but it's fun, sense of fashion. How she does it while she's got 11 cases she's working on, and she was teaching at Columbia, and she's still like, 'I want to wear that dress.' It's crazy. It has been sort of fascinating to watch, because she has such great taste."
