George Galloway Marries for Fourth Time: New Bride Putri Younger than His Daughter
Respect MP George Galloway has married for the fourth time. The new woman in his life is, a Dutch woman, 30 years his junior and even younger than his daughter.
Galloway, who won the Bradford West byelection held last week flew to Amsterdam and married Putri Gayatri Pertiwi, 27, in a hotel within 48 hours after his victory. Just four months ago his third wife gave birth to a baby.
The new bride is two years younger than Galloway's first child, Lucy, a mother of two, reported the Daily Mail.
"Yes, it is true that George and I have married," Pertiwi, a researcher, told the Daily Mail.
"The service was on Saturday in a hotel in Amsterdam," she said.
Mr Galloway then took over the phone and added: "Well, it looks like you have an old-fashioned scoop on your hands."
The former Labour MP for Glasgow Hillhead also told the Daily Mail that this wife is an anthropologist and child rights specialist and they have been known to each other for about six months.
"The next few months will be interesting because I will be working back in Westminster as an MP. But we will be moving around between London, Bradford and Amsterdam," he said.
It is believed that Galloway's new bride got to know him through his Viva Palestina charity and also accompanied him on a trip to Indonesia this year.
Galloway was earlier married to three women including Elaine Fuffe, Amineh Abu-zayyad and Rima Hussein. It was said that Galloway reportedly split from his third "wife". But it is not known when the couple divorced.
