The GLAAD group presented their 2012 awards list, meant to honour achievments in media, at New York.

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation group recognizes the best portrayals of gay community members in film, television, radio, music, newspapers and blogs. The awards this year was hosted by Cory Montieth and Naya Rivera.

Here is the complete list of award winners:

  • Special Recognition Award: openly gay 17-year-old anti-bullying advocate, Katy Butler (presented by Harvey Weinstein)
