GTA 5 Ill-Gotten Gains DLC (Part 2) rumours debunked - pink aircraft, custom Pegasus vehicles and more
Renowned YouTuber MrBossFTW (aka Ross) debunks all the latest rumours pertaining to the second instalment of the forthcoming Ill-Gotten Gains DLC, in his latest gameplay video for GTA Online.
The YouTuber talks about rumours surrounding three brand new artworks that were released recently as part of the Ill-Gotten Gains update for GTA Online.
For instance, Rockstar is purportedly shown as trying to promote the sales of shark cards or some of the new items added in the game, in one of these artworks.
The first artwork (above) clearly shows a lady in a pink dress holding three shopping bags, while three brand new vehicles painted in pink are shown in the background.
In the next artwork (above), we can see an army guy with a mullet and a handful of shark cards, besides a heavy armoured tank called Mesa with a mounted laser gun is also seen in the background.
Finally, the third artwork (below) depicts a Hill-Billy guy who is holding a Desert Eagle gun in his hands, with a speedofile bike, another vehicle and a Duster parked right behind him.
The YouTuber sums up that these were the three artworks that Rockstar had released as part of the promotional content for Ill-Gotten Gains DLC (Part 1) or as part its campaign to promote the sales of shark cards in GTA Online.
Coming back to the rumours, Ross admits that the first two of the three artworks are currently under the spotlight as the internet is abuzz with various rumours surrounding the pink themed artwork and the military tank and laser.
Based on the pink themed artwork, the GTA community is widely speculating that we might be seeing a new variation of the Swift or the ability to customise various Pegasus vehicles in GTA Online with future title updates.
However, Ross debunks the general perspective of the GTA community saying that Rockstar has just created a pink themed artwork in order to make the lady's pink dress blend well with the vehicles in the background and it has nothing to do with either pink aircraft or the possibility of customising Pegasus vehicles with future title updates for GTA Online.
Moving on to the second artwork, Ross concludes that there is no way you could buy the laser feature with the Mesa tank and the only military jet that you could purchase is the Hydra, which requires you to complete the Heist update.
Ross also highlights a similar artwork (above) that had been published by Rockstar in the past, wherein you can see a guy leaning against the side of a van while cops are seen chasing him in the background. The guy is holding a Glock pistol in his right hand and a mobile phone in his left, wherein the Glock is still unavailable for purchase in GTA 5 or GTA Online.
As a word of advice, avid GTA 5 gamers should note that all artworks shown in video trailers or thematic representations by Rockstar do not necessarily validate as future DLC content and such promotions must be taken with a grain of salt.
To further strengthen his claim, Ross reiterates the fact that the $5m paint job for the Swift helicopter actually drew a lot of flak from discerning GTA 5 gamers and critics alike, especially given its lack of new features and exorbitant in-game pricing.
Consequently, Rockstar would be discouraged to repeat the same mistake for the second time with the pink themed custom vehicles for GTA Online and hence such a possibility is definitely ruled out.
