HTC One M7 Developer and Unlocked editions start receiving Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with Sense 6 ROM
HTC has just confirmed that the One M7 Developer and Unlocked editions are currently being updated to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with Sense 6 ROM via over-the-air (OTA), following a similar Lollipop update that was rolled out to its Sprint version recently.
The news of the latest Lollipop OTA release for One M7 comes via Twitter account of Mo Versi, HTC's VP of Product Management, reports Android Central.
It is ascertained that there is no change log available for this update yet, while Versi has clarified that the company will be unable to push out the Lollipop update to all versions of HTC One M7 and M8 within the stipulated 90-day window.
However, HTC has reportedly been working hard to deliver the update on a date as close to the original deadline as possible.
In related news, prolific tipster @LlabTooFer, has revealed that the new Android 5.0.2 update pushes the firmware version number to 7.17.1540.7 and weighs about 702.52MB in size.
The firmware version number details have been revealed via a leaked screenshot (above), with due credit to Twitter user: @tungbn91.
Though the firmware feature details are scarce at the moment, it is ascertained that the update will feature a good mix of AOSP and Sense 6.0 UI elements with focus on new lockscreen and notification interface, scrolling Recents with multiple pages, and searchable settings.
