The annual reality show and slow torture of faded stars that is I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns to screens in Britain this evening.

Carl Fogarty – the Superbike Champion Career high: Nicknamed "Foggy", Carl Fogarty is the most decorated world superbike racer of all time. He was also awarded an MBE in the New Year's Honours List in 1998. Career low: Fogarty is known for his love-or-hate personality in the superbike world and has frequently verbally clashed with other rival bikers.

Edwina Currie – the Ex-MP Career high: Edwina Currie's political career peaked when she was made junior health minister in 1986, which led onto her… Career low: After a series of gaffes – including saying people in North England die from "ignorance and chips" and the elderly who can't afford heating should wear more clothes – Edwina commented that British eggs were infected by salmonela. The resulting egg boycott nearly destroyed the British poultry industry.

Craig Charles – the Actor Career high: Craig came to fame playing Lister – the beloved slob in the BBC sitcom Red Dwarf . Later in his career he starred in Cornonation Street . Career low: Between those two shows Craig faced an accusation of rape, and battled with a crack cocaine addiction.

Kendra Wilkinson – the Playboy Bunny Career high: Kendra started her journey to celebrity by joining Hugh Hefner in the Playboy Mansion. Career low: In 2013, Kendra suffered a minor stroke, due to a car accident.

Jimmy Bullard – the Footballer Career high: Footballer Bullard had a long career playing for Wigan Athletic, Fullham, Hull City and Ipswich Town, during which time he was called up to play for England three times… Career low: …but never stepped onto the field as a member of the England squad. He retired in 2012, due to knee injuries.

Melanie Sykes – the TV Presenter Career high: Melanie came to fame as the Boddingtons girl, rubbing the bitter's foam into her face. Career low: In November 2013, Melanie was arrested and cautioned for attacking her then-husband Jack Cockings. The couple divorced soon afterwards, their marriage lasting less than year.

Tinchy Stryder – the Rapper Career high: Tinchy's single Number 1 did precisely that, reaching the top spot in the charts. Career low: His Christmas team-up with the Chuckle Brothers is proving less popular however.

More recently she has been appearing in Emmerdale Farm . Career low: Vicki has said the lack of make-up in the jungle may force her to undertake botox treatments.

Career low: His leather-clad dance performance in Children in Need was questionable, however he did raise a lot of money for charity.

Nadia Forde – the Model Career high: Nadia is better known in her home country of Ireland, where she has her own hit reality show Nadia Goes To Hollywood and is a regular on the sketch comedy show The Republic of Telly . Over here, she's better known as the unlucky fiance of golfer Rory McIlroy. Career low: That would be Rory McIlroy. Their relationship quickly soured, although Nadia refuses to speak about it now. Allegedly her silence on the subject formed part of her I'm A Celebrity… contract.

Jake Quickenden – the X Factor Contestant and possible late addition to the jungle Career high: That would be appearing on I'm A Celebrity… if he does – it's yet to be confirmed. Career low: That would be being kicked out of this X Factor before reaching the finals.
