iPad Mini Rumours: Will Apple Launch a 5-Inch Device with Retina Display in 2013?
After the launch of the new iPad, the rumour mills have shifted focus to the next big product from Apple - which is either the iPad Mini or an iPod Touch - it's anybody's guess!
However, what is clear is that a mini version of the iPad is in the pipeline, although whether it will have a 7.85-inch screen or a 5-inch screen is the question. Expect it, however, to have the Retina Display technology.
According to a Japanese blog - Macotakara , Apple is busy working on a 5-inch device with Retina Display that will launch in 2013.
"The product which has 5-inch Retina Display is expected to be released in 2013, and resolution of this LCD will be 1,600 x 960 pixels (800 x 480 by legacy majour) or 1,280 x 960 pixels (640 x 480)," reads the post on Macotakara.
The new display resolutions for the proposed device mean developers will have to design tailor-made apps for it.
It also means the different combination of new products from Apple, potentially, is mind-boggling.
To begin with, the eagerly anticipated Apple TV is also expected in 2013, as is the probable launch of the next-gen iPhone. A 5-inch iPad Mini would just about be the icing on the cake.
