Jack Black and Kate Hudson talk Kung Fu Panda 3
Po, the Kung Fu Panda of the animation franchise, is back for a third outing. Jack Black, who voices the bumblingly heroic martial-arts bear, couldn't be happier, saying he loves the job and gets to go to work in his PJs. However, his enthusiasm for the job isn't echoed by his co-star Dustin Hoffman, who voices Po's mentor Shifu, who said it wasn't fun and the process is the opposite of what most actors learn in terms of their trade.
All of Po's animal gang are back, with Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Monkey (Jackie Chan), Viper (Lucy Liu), Mantis (Seth Rogen) and Crane (David Cross) setting off on a new adventure. There are additions to the roster, with Oscar nominee and Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston taking on the role of Po's long-lost father Li.
Another new edition is Mei Mei, a chubby panda dancer. She was originally supposed to be voiced by Rebel Wilson, who had to drop out because of production schedules. She has been replaced by Kate Hudson, who fell in love with the character instantly. Kung Fu Panda 3 is released on 11 March in the UK.
