James Corden recreates Madonna and Drake's snog with Allison Janney
James Corden has become the latest star to receive an on-stage snog from a female admirer.
The 36-year-old star got a little more than he expected when he took to the stage to present Allison Janney with the gong for Best Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series at the 2015 Critics' Choice Television Awards.
Clearly excited about taking home the accolade for her role in CBS sitcom Mom, she grabbed the 36-year-old chat show host for a make-out session.
Although the British comedian initially hesitated, he soon got into the moment and even appeared to be enjoying the long kiss.
"I didn't mean anything by that," Janney told the crowd after finally coming up for air. "You're one of my favourite comics on the planet."
Host Cat Deeley later speculated that the kiss was even steamier than thought, telling the stunned audience: "I think there were tongues!"
It looks like Janney may have been taking tips from Madonna.
In April, the Material Girl enjoyed a scandalous on-stage smooch with Young Money rapper Drake at Coachella.
Rihanna's ex-boyfriend was headlining the third day of the music festival in Indio, California, when he brought out the 56-year-old singer as a special guest. During the performance of her hit song Express Yourself, Madonna decided to express herself by snogging the 28-year-old rapper.
Although the impromptu PDA and his priceless reaction triggered online mockery and hilarious memes, Drake later jumped on social media to insist he loved every minute of their clinch.
"Don't misinterpret my shock!! I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel 100 about that forever! Thank you @madonna," he told his 22.3 million followers.
Meanwhile, Corden's new series The Late Late Show lost out to The Daily Show for the Best Talk Show category award.
