Jamie Spears likely to lose conservatorship of Britney Spears
Amidst the child abuse controversy, the conservatorship right of Britney Spears might be shifted to her mother Lynne.
Jamie Spears, the sole conservator of Britney Spears might lose her conservatorship. The conservatorship is expected to be passed on to Spears' mother Lynne. Currently, he has been restrained to meet his grandchildren by the court in lieu of "physical abuse".
According to the report of The Blast, the restraining order doesn't allow the senior Spears to be near the children when they are under Britney Spears' care. Whenever he visits them, the 37-year-old singer needs to have a monitor. This will debar him from being the monitor, so he might lose her conservatorship as well.
The singer's sons went to meet their grandfather and her elder son Sean, 13, got into a heated argument with his grandfather. Soon he lost his calm. Frightened, Sean locked himself in a room. Senior Spears broke the lock of the room, went inside and violently shook the child. Later, he dropped the children at their father's house.
Immediately after the incident, their father and Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline lodged a complaint in the nearest police station. The matter reached the court and the senior Spears was granted "restraining order" from both Sean and Jayden.
Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan told People that they were trying to work out a meaningful contract with Britney on the guardianship of the children.
Britney Spears was "very angry" with her father's behaviour and she is in complete agreement with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, a source told E! News. "Britney was very upset with her dad and left with the boys. She never wants Jamie to treat her boys the way he did or to get involved with disciplining them in that way," the insider said.
Earlier this year, the court ordered to interview the people who were intimately connected to the conservatorship of Spears. They issued an overall mental health evaluation on the singer. All these details will be presented in front of the court on Wednesday, September 18.
Chances are high that the conservatorship will be transferred to the "Femme Fatale" singer's mother, Lynne. Her father recently filed for an extension of her conservatorship to 12 states outside of California. He did this to gain full control of her conservatory rights.
It remains to be seen what happens on September 18. The singer had fun time with her teenage kids this summer, when they went to Disneyland. However, the fun seems to have come at a cost.
