Why are fans 'counting on' Jana Duggar dating family friend Jonathan Hartono?

As the family of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar prepares for the wedding of their fifth daughter Joy-Anna, rumours have surfaced suggesting that Jana – the first daughter of the Duggars – is dating.

A video has surfaced on the internet where the eldest Duggar daughter was seen with family friend Jonathan Hartono. The Xcel Celebrity video features a couple of pictures where the former 19 Kids and Counting siblings can be seen having fun with Hartono.

Fans speculate that the 27-year-old reality star may have fallen in love finally. And, to add fuel to the rumours, In Touch Weekly claims that "Jonathan was seen bowling with Jim Bob," a common tradition by papa Duggar before a man asks his permission to court his daughter.

The reality star has previously confessed that it is difficult to wait for the right man in her life especially when her other siblings are settling. During an interview with Crown of Beauty Magazine, she said: "I know how it feels to wait for 'Prince Charming' to come along. I'm still waiting. Waiting is not always easy, especially in those times when all the married siblings are getting together and you can't go along because you're not part of 'that' group."

The images in the video, however, do not imply anything but 'Cinderella Duggar' (a name fondly given to Jana by her fans) can be seen enjoying the fun moments during the outing. The upcoming season of TLC's Counting On will be worth a watch as Jana might finally reveal whether she is in a courtship or not.

The family's spin-off show is set to premiere its new season on 12 June. TLC has released a new promo where the Duggar sisters, Jana, Joy, Jessa and Jill are having face time with the newly married Jinger.
