Janet Jackson receives lavish gifts from ex-partner Wissam Al Mana on her 51st birthday
A source told ET that birthdays are important milestones in Jackson's family.
Janet Jackson turned 51 on 16 May and her estranged husband Wissam Al Mana wished the singer with elaborate gifts that included roses. The couple were married for almost five years before announcing their split in early April.
A source close to the Jackson family revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Al Mana sent his ex-partner a mix of over 100 roses and orchids in celebration of her special day.
The source added that the couple are not reuniting as of now. "Janet and her husband are separated but have a mutual love and admiration for each other. There doesn't seem to be a reconciliation in the future, but never say never," the insider said.
Jackson welcomed her first child, son Eissa, with Al Mana in January, and according to the source the Rhythm Nation singer, "couldn't ask for a better gift than her precious baby boy". The source added that "birthdays are important milestones" in Jackson's family, especially when her brother Michael was alive.
"Michael made it a point to give elaborate gifts and enjoy parties," the source said and, added that the Thriller hitmaker passed down this tradition to his children. "Paris and Prince always had big birthdays because Michael grew up always wanting parties," said the insider.
Revealing details about Jackson's upcoming tour, the source insisted that her fans should "expect nothing but perfection".
Recently, the 51-year-old took to Twitter to post a personal video for her fans. She said, "Hey you guys, it's me, Jan, just in case you don't recognise me since I have put on quite a few since I had the baby. But I thank god for him, he's so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby."
Addressing her split from the Qatari businessman, the Nasty hitmaker revealed, "I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second. Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God's hands."
"I'm continuing my tour, as I promised. I'm so excited you guys, so excited!" she added in the personal video.
