Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin dating: Coldplay singer does not want Hunger Games star to meet Gwyneth Paltrow

Chris Martin does not want estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow and Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence to meet face to face since he started dating the Hunger Games star.

The 24-year-old actress, who plays Katniss in the Suzanne Collins trilogy, and the 37-year-old Coldplay frontman started spending time together since June last year, after she broke up with her on-off boyfriend and fellow actor Nicholas Hoult.

The two reportedly split in September but were spotted together enjoying a dinner date at Kiwami Sushi in Studio City on New Year's Eve in 2014.

"Chris hasn't wanted them [Lawrence and Paltrow] to meet yet," a friend of Lawrence told US Weekly. "Gwyneth and Chris are co-parenting without Jen involved for now."

In March 2014, the 41-year-old Shakespeare in Love actress posted a message titled 'Conscious Uncoupling' to her lifestyle website, GOOP, announcing that she and Martin were separating, after ten years of marriage.

However, the former couple who have two children together, named Apple and Moses, have remained close.

During an interview on Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show, Paltrow talked about Martin's lady love.

''Who says I don't approve [of Jennifer Lawrence]? Why not? Why is it going to be an issue? I respect him as the father of my children...It's his life and it's his decision... and I do think that he loves the kids so much and I don't think that he wouldn't be with someone who isn't great. And if I'm wrong, I'll come back here and tell you," she said.
