Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin split: Coldplay singer 'totally besotted' with Gwyneth Paltrow
Chris Martin has reportedly not moved on from estranged wife, Gwyneth Paltrow.
In March, the 41-year-old Iron Man star posted a message titled 'Conscious Uncoupling' to her lifestyle website, GOOP, announcing that she and Martin are separating, after ten years of marriage.
However, the former couple who have two children together, named Apple and Moses, have remained close.
"Chris is totally besotted with Gwyneth, and that has never changed. She instigated the split, but never definitively told him that they would not be together again, just that they needed to try living more separate lives and see what happened," a source told Grazia, according to Independent.
"The whole 'conscious uncoupling' thing felt like a halfway house between being married and splitting completely and, ironically, it's since they've been technically living apart that they've come to realise how closely they depend on each other," the insider added.
After Martin and Paltrow separated, the Coldplay singer briefly dated Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and the Shakespeare in Love actress was romantically linked to Glee and American Horror Story co-creator Brad Falchuk.
Meanwhile, another insider revealed that Paltrow has been always open about reconciliation: "Gwyneth has been playing the long game. For a while things on their marriage weren't great, but by 'consciously uncoupling' - rather than splitting - Gwyneth ensured that they would remain part of each other's lives. The door has always been left open for them to get back together."
In July, during an interview with the Valentine in the Morning radio show, Martin opened up about his relationship with Paltrow post-split, saying, "The thing we told everyone at the beginning of the year is true. We are very close. We are not together. But we're, you know, that's the truth and that's it. You know, there's a lot of love. No scandal, I'm afraid. I wish I could give you scandal."
