Justice League supervillain revealed: Darkseid unlikely to traumatise superheroes
Although Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice left certain hints towards the end of the film about who the next supervillain in the franchise's upcoming movie Justice League: Part 1 would be, it now seems like Batman fans could be in for a total surprise. If rumours are to be believed, Darkseid will not be the great nemesis who will traumatise the gang of superheroes in Justice League.

According to a report in Birth Movies Death, Justice League's supervillain will be someone, who was in scenes that were deleted from Dawn Of Justice. Turns out, the great antagonist threatening the superheroes would be Steppenwolf, a monster-like creature, who in the Comics is the uncle of Darkseid.
No wonder, the Internet went on an overdrive, when the video featuring the deleted scenes from the movie surfaced online. In a Kryptonian bath, Lex Luthor is seen confronting a monster, who is believed to be Steppenwolf – although he looked nothing like his Comics book counterpart.
Based on the website's theory, and the deleted scenes from Dawn Of Justice surfacing online, it is quite possible that Justice League could be threatened by Steppenwolf, and not Darkseid. However, this does not rule out the possibility of Darkseid playing a key role in DC's upcoming movie.
According to the report, though Darkseid would appear in the film, he is not likely to do much. Perhaps, the significance of Darkseid's rumoured presence in Justice League: Part 1 can only be realised towards the end, when he may – or may not – lay the path for the Justice League sequel and other lined-up DC movies. As Warner Bros remains tight-lipped about other details from the movie, with nothing been officially confirmed, the Steppenwolf secret should be taken with a pinch of salt.
The Justice League movie directed by Zack Snyder and executive produced by Ben Affleck will hit theatres on 17 November 2017. The first trailer for the movie is yet to be released
