Justin Bieber sent Selena Gomez birthday wishes over FaceTime

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber reached out to former girlfriend, American actress and singer Selena Gomez on her birthday.

The Come And Get It singer celebrated her 23rd birthday on 22 July.

According to a report in Hollywood Life, the Baby hitmaker sang Happy Birthday to the former Disney star over FaceTime.

"Justin serenaded Happy Birthday to Selena from his studio on FaceTime," a source said. "He started the conversation by holding out one red rose and pretended to give it to Selena through the screen. He knows Selena loves roses."

"He played the guitar and sang a cute, funny version of Happy Birthday," the insider added. "It made her really happy. It was sweet."

Meanwhile, Gomez's best friend, American country music singer Taylor Swift took to Facebook, and posted pictures of them.

"Happy 23rd Birthday, Selena Gomez. I can't believe it's been 7 years since we met!! I love you so much, always," she wrote.

During an interview on The Z100 Morning Show, the Good For You singer said she does not want people who spread negativity in her life.

"If you're going to sit here and talk about my life, I have a right to say what I want and obviously I'm going to do it the way I wish to. But it is unfortunate, and you have to be guarded. I just told you during the break, I don't trust anyone... It's something that I have to live with and I have to find the balance of who I want in my life and who isn't good for me," Gomez said.
