Kanye West lambasted by Elsa after falling asleep at Disneyland Frozen show

Kanye West has provoked the wrath of a Disney character after falling asleep at a Frozen sing-along show.

The hip hop star must have been exhausted after spending the day celebrating his daughter North's second birthday at Disneyland because he decided that the performance was the perfect opportunity to take a quick powernap.

In the photo published by TMZ, the 38-year-old star can be seen snoozing while seated beside his wife Kim Kardashian. TMZ reports that his celebrity status meant that he stuck out like a sore thumb and a Disney employee who noticed was far from impressed.

Considering the huge success of Frozen, Disney's biggest-selling movie, some fans would see sleeping through a 25 minute performance as sacrilege. The employee, who was apparently the woman who played Elsa, later took to social media to reprimand the All Day rapper.

"When you perform for the Kardashian family for North's birthday...and Kanye sleeps through the whole show," she wrote on Facebook and Twitter.

Earlier in the day the whole Kardashian clan were joined by rapper Tyga and his son King Cairo, and makeup artist Joyce Bonelli at North's action-packed birthday bash.

The group were seen taking a ride on the carousel, with birthday girl North wearing black Mickey Mouse ears complete with facepaint. They later enjoyed a ride on the Storybook Canal Boats.

By next year, the toddler will have a younger sibling following news that Kardashian is pregnant with the couple's second child.
