James Middleton admits it is frustrating to be known as the duchess' brother, not a businessman
Kate Middleton's brother, James Middleton has revealed that he does have hard time adjusting to his elder sister's royal status.
During an interview with TYD (The Young Director) magazine, the 27-year-old businessman said that being known as the Duchess of Cambridge's younger brother, instead of a "serious businessman" is annoying.
"Yes, it does get frustrating," he told the publication, according to the New York Daily News. "I work incredibly hard, just like every other person."
"And aside from the fact — yes, I am the brother of someone very important — I am, at the end of the day, just James," he said.
Adding on, he said that his parents' Carole and Michael Middleton's party-planning business – Party Pieces – provided the "stepping stones" to start his first venture, The Cake Kit Company.
James, who is dating TV presenter Donna Air, is also the head of Boomf, which prints Instagram photos on marshmallows.
"I have only ever employed myself," he proudly admits.
James also openly discussed his struggle with dyslexia and how it has affected his life.
"I feel like dyslexia is a strong point in me now," he said. "For one, it makes you unique, and two, your brain just works differently; you will get to the answer of a solution but just in a different — maybe unconventional way."
