Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Kylie Minogue Design Shoes for Addidas
Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Kylie Minogue have teamed up to raise money for a good cause.
The celebrity trio has turned Adidas trainers into works of art for a new exhibition designed to help raise money for Stonewall, a lesbian, gay and bisexual charity.
They are amongst a constellation of high-profile names including Boy George, Sir Elton John and stylist William Baker who will customise Adidas' celebrated tennis trainer, the Stan Smith.
After a two-year hiatus Stan Smiths are now available again in stores.
Twenty reworked trainers will be sold at an online auction launching this afternoon at p6auction.com, before going display at London's Bargehouse.
The showcase is organised by non-profit arts organisation Platform Six.
Founder James Tailor said: "There is so much more to LGB artists than simply their sexuality, but that is what many exhibitions seem to focus on.
"A lot of the work itself is highly sexualised and falls into a now well-known stereotype.
"The exhibition takes LGB art out of the context of sex. While some of the works displayed may contain nudity, the work itself deals with themes such as non-conformity, identity and vulnerability."
The exhibition runs at the Bargehouse from September 7-14 2013. The auction takes place online from September 4-6.
