Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx split reportedly because of singer Sela Vave

Katie Holmes and her longtime boyfriend, Jamie Foxx have officially split. The former couple were together for six years and first sparked romance rumours in 2013.

A source informed Page Six that the 40-year-old actress and her boyfriend have gone their separate ways since May. However, the reps of both actors haven't commented. News of the split comes just days after 51-year-old Foxx was spotted holding hands with aspiring singer and model Sela Vave outside a nightclub in West Hollywood.

The duo was pictured leaving the birthday party of Lil Pump at Bootsy Bellows nightclub. They haven't commented on their relationship status. After the photographs of the duo emerged, a source told People that actor was just "helping out a young singer."

The source added that Vave is the record producer's newest artist and he was helping her with her career. She has also been posting several photographs with Foxx on her Instagram lately.

Holmes and Foxx were a very private couple and they never officially confirmed their relationship. They even posed together for a photograph at the 2019 Met Gala in May, which was their last public appearance together. They seemed to be very happy in the Instagram video posted by designer Zac Posen.

The former couple appeared to be going strong when they were seen together in public earlier this year. Holmes and Foxx enjoyed a yacht outing to ring in the New Year and they also went on a jet ski trip. Sources said in January, that the duo had worked out a balance between their careers and relationship.

"Katie and Jamie see each other as frequently as they can. They have known each other for years, and both turned out to be great parents, so they also have that in common," source said.

The couple first sparked romance rumours in 2003 when they hit the dance floor together at an event in East Hampton. It was more than a year since Holmes had split from her husband of six years, Tom Cruise. However, Foxx denied that he was dating Holmes and called the speculations "hilarious".
