Katy Perry In Tears, Hates One London Boy

After keeping silent all this while, Katy Perry, whose marriage with actor Russell Brand ended in a divorce, has decided to reveal the infamous split to the world through the documentary film "Part of Me". The film reveals what actually went wrong with her and her ex-husband.

In an exclusive interview to the Daily Mirror, the singer-turned-actress mentioned about her emotional plight when she heard about Brand filing a divorce from her. Perry was on the backstage at a gig in Sao Paulo when she got the sad news. But being a professional, she performed in front of thousands of audience, hiding back her tears.

"I could feel the energy and support from my fans. Just before I started a song, they kept saying in Portuguese 'Katy, we love you' and I felt really comforted by that. Watching it in the edit suite later, I was saying 'This is OK...' I'd just needed a shoulder to help me walk up the steps. I had to bend over so my false eyelashes didn't come off. I couldn't let the tears stream because it would ruin the make-up. But I got through it. I've learnt a lot and am moving forward one step at a time. It was a year I'll never be able to recreate. It had amazing highs and some big lows, but that's life. Everyone goes through the good and the bad and it makes you stronger. But my ultimate goal is to make people smile," Perry gave an honest answer.

When asked how she felt after the separation, the singer jokingly told that she likes all London boys except one.

"I've learnt I'm in a very modern fairy tale. But I also know I don't need the Prince Charming to have a happy ending. I can make the happy ending myself. But I still like London boys... except one." No prizes for guessing the name though.

Perry feels that her life has been a "long journey of learning, tolerance and acceptance." She was engaged to Brand in January 2010 and got married in October. Brand filed for divorce 14 months after their marriage citing "irreconcilable differences."

Meanwhile, speculation that Perry might be suffering from "split personality disorder" is doing the rounds. The singer's outrageous hair styles have been talked about and she herself claimed that it could be because of the disorder.

"My sense of style is like one of those things that change colour with mood, always evolving. When I get up, I choose my outfit depending on my state of mind. If it is a mixture of many things it is because I feel many different emotions at the same time, to the point where you feel you almost have a split personality," Perry told the Metro.
